About

I have been a Christian since Easter ’79.  I exited the military and my dream of being a Navy Seal to enter Bible college.  I studied missions at International Crusades (now International Teams) in Prospect Hgts, IL.  While I lived in Chicago I worked with inner city kids in Cabrini Green.  I signed up to go on a short term missions team to Banff, but God had a better plan.  It seemed there was not enough interest in the Banff team and God let me to join a team going to Prince Edward Is, Canada.  In 1980, God reveled to me that I would not marry an American, I met my now wife Jackie on that team.  In August ’82 I attended Western Bible College(now Colorado Christian) studying Youth Ministry in Denver, but due to an overcommitment, working full time as a drug and alcohol counselor at a local boy’s group home, I had to withdraw I am currently enrolled in college and studying Information Systems. I would like to get enough experience and then retire to serve God at JAAR’s. JAAR’s provides technical assistance to Wycliffe Bible Translators.

How does God reveal stuff to you? Like in dreams or you suddenly have epiphanies or you hear his voice? Just curious.

abarclay12, Jesus said that his sheep will know His voice. This can be obtained by
    one, learning to be quiet,
    two, be in constant prayer,
three, listen for God to speak.

Many examples can be read about in the Bible of how God has communicated to His people.

Not many of them, but people who live in other country spc US. You know they dont treat good with “Iranian” and maybe they are afraid of uttering their identity and call themselves persian for most people stop and think where it can be. But I do write both in my blog.
Really no difference between persian and Iranian. Persia is anciant name of Iran. :)
