Trusting God through thick and thin

This is my first live unrecorded weblog. Currently it is 10:32 p.m. and I am having to rely upon God and my friends to encourage me through this difficult time. I didn’t asked to go down this path but I knew long before that it was coming. So I had sometime to prepare. I want to scream but somehow God has given me the strength to stand firm. Through it all I am having to rely upon His strengh as he gives it. One question I have to ask would be “is God directing me into a ministry?” At this point I cannot answer that question. If so we would have to sell our home, which I am fully willing to do, but when would be the proper time to sell it. My wife and I have a desire to remain in the Tecumseh area at least until our children are out of school.
I have learned ro accept the blessings which come my way. Our riding lawnmower is not running well and one the blessings God bestowed upon us is the temporary use of another riding lawnmower. God is so wonderful. One of my favorite sayings is “God feeds the birds but He doesn’t through the bird seed in the nest,” he makes the birds leave the security of the nest and work for it. We have been blessed with a marvelous church family who gives us the support needed to keep up the faith. To all my Church family and beloved friends, thanks for the much needed prayers and support. Thank you Lord.
James 1:2ff, 12
2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
12Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
I memorized this verse nearly twenty-five years ago. It’s just as relavent today as it was back then. Twenty-five years ago I had a hard time understanding the wisdom but over time it’s meaning has become clear.
Thanks to all and praize God.

What a great reading of faith that I have just had!
I believe we all go thru times like yours, wondering if we are doing what we are being called to do.If it is ministering that you desire, we have a great opportunity
for that in the new church,
    Let it be known!
You are one of the Brothers that I personally look to for my christian example, and what a great example you have been!
